Restorative Retreats

A commitment to integrating and supporting mind + body + spirit led to a joyful collaboration called “Wholly Nourished.” These women-only retreats are designed to engage all our senses and flexible enough to meet individual needs. With content focused on self-compassion, participants enjoy facilitated conversation with small groups of likeminded women, yoga, sound baths, art, journalling, outdoor quiet time, and delicious farm-to-table meals.

Our 2025 retreats have ended and we are gearing up for next year! To stay informed about upcoming events, join the mailing list here. No spam or blog posts, just retreat info, we promise!

the daring way

restorative retreat Curriculums based in brené brown’s work

Brené Brown is a research professor at the University of Houston where she holds the Huffington Foundation – Brené Brown Endowed Chair at The Graduate College of Social Work. She has spent more than two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame, and empathy, and most recently completed a multi-year, cross-sector study on courageous leadership.  I am trained to facilitate her Gifts of Imperfection, Daring Greatly and Rising Strong programs. These are ideal for small groups and are often delivered as adult education programs in faith organizations, men’s and women’s retreats, and among trusted friends at a beach or mountain retreat.

Daring Greatly

Daring Greatly™ is a highly experiential curriculum that explores topics such as vulnerability, courage, shame, and worthiness. We examine the thoughts, emotions, and behaviors that hold us back and identify the new choices and practices that will move us toward more authentic and wholehearted living. Courage is contagious, and doing this work in a group setting creates powerful shifts in perspective.

Rising Strong

Rising Strong™ is based on the simple physics of vulnerability: if we are brave enough, often enough, we will fall. This curriculum walks us through what it takes to get back up, and how owning our stories of struggle give us the power to write a daring new ending. Struggle can be our greatest call to courage and the clearest path to a wholehearted life.

Gifts of Imperfection

The Gifts of Imperfection™ curriculum, based on Brené Brown's work, is a guide to living "wholeheartedly" by embracing imperfection, focusing on courage, compassion, and connection through ten Guideposts like cultivating authenticity, self-compassion, gratitude, and creativity, taught via small groups with reflection, journaling (sometimes art-based), and group discussion to let go of perfectionism and scarcity.
